Canadian Clinical Requirements for Cross Enterprise Remote Reading Now Will Inform International Workflow

Engaging clinicians in a process that identifies a core set of clinical requirements remains the goal for successful interoperable solutions. To date, clinical requirements have been undertaken and published in four areas, including Medication Management and Immunization Interoperability. The most recent publication, the Clinical Requirements for Cross Enterprise Remote Reading in Medical Imaging has been developed, validated and published in collaboration with the Diagnostic Imaging Community, including participating radiologists. This set of clinical requirements is currently being used to inform an international collaboration on the development of an IHE profile for Cross Enterprise Remote Reading Workflow.
