Hello HL7 Community Members,

As we start the 2024/25 period for the HL7 Canada Affiliate access, we are pleased to announce some significant changes to the HL7 Canada organizational memberships, offering increased opportunities for each organization’s involvement and additional HL7 benefits.

Starting this year, the HL7 Canada Council has approved a new framework granting each organizational member up to 5 HL7 Canada voting members per year. This includes participation in HL7 International ballots through the HL7 Canada Council. It is important to designate these staff from your organization as they will be directly involved in future HL7 Canada voting and balloting processes and will increase our collective representation in the HL7 International ballot counts.

In addition to this new voting structure, your organizational membership continues to provide your staff with access to discounts on HL7 conference fees, education, and certification exams. More details are available on the HL7 membership page on InfoCentral.

Action Required:

If you are the primary contact of jurisdictions or organizations with 2024/25 renewal, we kindly ask you to provide the list of 1 to 5 named voting members from your organization to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. by May 24, 2024.

If you are not the primary contact but are involved in your organization, please ensure that this information is communicated to the primary contact so they can take the necessary action. Please note this step is vital for ensuring your organization’s full participation rights in the voting process.
